An excerpt from my review of the gig on Bristol 24/7

There was an odd undertone throughout Funeral for a Friend’s set on Tuesday night at the Fleece.

The Welsh five-piece tore through their hour long set by sampling from albums and EPs, including unreleased rarities, from as far back as their debut in 2002. Perhaps the odd energy came from the contrasting tastes of the front of the crowd, dominated by younger fans enjoying the classics but craving tracks from the band’s latest album, ‘Conduit’, and the back crowd who wanted nothing more than songs from the ‘Greatest Hits’ album….
